All versions of the S60 and V60 Cross Country are powered by the same engine, a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder. The engine is good for 247 horsepower, sent to the front or all-four wheels via an 8-speed automatic.
The S60 is available in four trims, the B5 Core Dark Theme, B5 Plus Dark Theme, B5 Core Black Edition are available in both front and all-wheel drive while the B5 Ultimate Dark Theme is only available in the AWD model.
It comes with 18-inch wheels, dual tailpipes, LED headlights, a 9-inch screen in the center console, SiriusXM satellite radio, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, heated front seats, a panoramic moonroof, leatherette upholstery and memory functions for the driver seat.

The V60 Cross Country is only available in two well-equipped trims the B5 Plus and B5 Ultimate with a liftgate, heated power folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals, LED headlights, daytime running and fog lights, heated leather power front seats with driver seat memory settings, an HD satellite radio with 10-speakers, a 9-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, Bluetooth and 4 USB ports.
The B5 Ultimate adds 19-inch wheels, chrome accents, ventilated front seats, 14-way power front seats, rear climate control with separate controls, 14-speaker sound system, and head-up display.
Safety features include 7 airbags, a rear view camera, an active lane departure system, forward and rear collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, parking sensors, a drive attention alert and a traffic sign information system.

The Volvo V60 Cross Country and S60 both carryover with minimal changes for 2024.
The Volvo S60 is aimed squarely at the BMW 3-series and the Audi A4 in the premium mid-sized car segment. The S60 is priced very competitively with those cars. The V60 Cross Country Wagon offers more standard features, with more suspension travel, a higher ride height and more crossover-like styling details. And even though it's the most expensive model of the lot, the V60 Cross Country still offers pretty good value when compared to other similarly sized crossovers on the market.
